FundaSizwe is a resource centre supporting individuals, organisations and public entities that are involved in the improvement of South Africa’s education system.

OUR STORY

Inspired by a teacher with a passion for education and seeing many of her students struggling due to their households conditions and backgrounds, a couple of friends decided to use the little that they had to play their part - that is how FundaSizwe was founded. It is in this origin story that our values and mission is formed, we aim to inspire a generation of young professionals, businesses and NGOs to give the little they have for a big impact.

OUR OBJECTIVES

At FundaSizwe, we support learners, schools, businesses and NGOs with resources to address some of the basic needs rural and township schools and learners need to realise their full potential. We do this by:

• Providing funding for education programs, with a focus on early childhood development and previously disadvantaged communities
• Providing training for individuals , NGOs and all other relevant organisations involved in education in South Africa.
• Establishing programs to support high school learners with career guidance, university applications and mentoring.
• Establishing and supporting nutritional programs for child headed households.
